SCARPA North America
Scarpa in the news
Sure, travel may still be closed off in many places, but we’re returning to normal, and that means there is a boatload of built-up demand. So despite the damper on big trips, we’re still seeing more interest in travel and the outdoors than ever. So, how do you write a holiday gift guide to reach these folks and their loved ones?
With an eye toward creating a product that helps more people get into gym and rock climbing, SCARPA, maker of premium high-performance footwear for mountain sports, introduces the Reflex VS, an exclusive introduction this spring with Movement Climbing Gyms in the U.S. and MEC in Canada. Longtime SCARPA athletes and professional climbers Alex Puccio and Sean McColl called out its exceptional construction and durability at an approachable price of $99 U.S.
This spring, SCARPA, maker of premium high-performance footwear for mountain sports, unveils its new Moraine light-hiking shoe, which introduces a first in the lightweight-hiking category — a technology that makes its wearer searchable in the unlikely event of a rescue. In addition, the Moraine is manufactured without using PFAS in its materials. The Moraine — a premium waterproof light hiker available in mid and low cuts — will be the first light hiking shoes on the market to integrate RECCO technology, which offers an added safety component in the backcountry.
Spring is officially here– and for some that might mean blooming flowers or warmer weather, however, in my mind, spring triggers one thing – the kick-off to thru-hiking season! I’m Alexa, a Director at Verde, I embarked on my 2013 Appalachian Trail hike in the snow on March 30 from Georgia, and my Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike in 90-degree temperatures from Mexico on May 5, 2017. With two thru-hikes under my belt, and now working in the outdoor industry, I love talking gear, and thinking about all of the products that I would bring on a future thru-hike.
Prepare for your solar eclipse camping with some out of this world gear from our brands! On April 8, 2024 a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, United States, and Canada! Campgrounds in “eclipse states” are booking up, with reservations increasing by more than 500% in Arkansas and Vermont, 300% in Oklahoma and Ohio, and more than 100% in Texas, New York, and Missouri, Forbes reports.
Following many years of product category research and direct engagement with the telemark-skiing community, SCARPA will introduce in fall 2024 a completely new version of the TX Pro — the most innovative, lightweight and efficient telemark boot ever created. With a legacy of introducing the world’s first “plastic” telemark boots — the Terminator in 1992, the T2 in 1994, and, later, the groundbreaking TX Pro in 2008 — SCARPA has consistently been at the forefront of telemark skiing.

Warm weather is upon us (or will be soon)! With this, we have a host of new gear and trends to share. First up, we have a whole new sport in winging, or wing surfing, then we’ll cover some trends that will help keep folks protected and comfortable as they head into the outdoors. These latter trends may seem small, but as the number of people that are venturing out has exploded, its small steps forward in comfort, like these, that will keep those people coming back for years to come.
In order to grow participation in the sports we love, we need to move beyond the ‘typical’ influencer and ambassador profile. We need a more diverse group of athletes, influencers, and ambassadors to encourage participation and create a safe and inviting industry for all. While it may take a bit more time and effort, it will pay dividends on multiple levels.
