Camber Outdoors welcomes five new board members

Boulder, Colo. (January 22, 2020) Camber Outdoors, a national nonprofit supporting workplace inclusion, equity and diversity across the active-outdoors industries, announces the appointment of five new board members: Katie Carlson – Vice President of Human Resources, Brooks Running; Hawi Keflezighi – owner of Hawi Management; Eileen Mulry – Vice President of Human Resources, SRAM; Victoria Payne – Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Mountain Khakis; and Traci Reandeau – Vice President Global People and Culture, Fuerst Group.

“Camber welcomes an outstanding class of incoming board members who are deeply committed to our mission,” said Steve Meineke, Camber Outdoors’ board president. “With extensive leadership experience in corporate D&I efforts, as well as depth and breadth in finance, strategy and marketing , our new board members will work alongside executive director, Emily Newman, to activate partnerships and programmatic initiatives across the industry.”

Katie Carlson is the Vice President of Human Resources at Brooks Running where she is responsible for leading Brooks’ human resources across the globe, with a primary focus of establishing baseline operational excellence, stewarding talent management practices, and championing company culture.

Hawi Keflezighi is the owner of Hawi Management, the track & field sports agency. He is credited with masterminding one of the most successful careers in the history of professional running: that of his older brother and marathon legend Meb Keflezighi. Hawi’s reputation for bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective to the sport of running has attracted other like-minded athletes, leading to organic growth of the agency.

Eileen Mulry is the Vice President of Human Resources for SRAM, where she has worked since 2018. Her diverse Human Resources career includes stints in consumer products and industrial manufacturing before she discovered the bicycle industry. Eileen has worked at Kraft Foods, Anheuser Busch InBev, and Terex Cranes, based in Zurich Switzerland. She has worked in training and development, compensation and a variety of HR business partner roles. 

Victoria Payne is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Mountain Khakis, and a volunteer mentor with Camber Outdoors’ professional mentoring program. She possesses extensive professional experience in operations and a demonstrated history of working in the retail distribution industry.

Traci Reandeau is the Vice President, Global People and Culture, Fuerst Group, the parent company of KEEN. She is a passionate, creative, and strategic HR professional with more than 20 years of experience specializing in employee relations, employee engagement, corporate culture, and talent management.

The new board members will work alongside Emily Newman, Executive Director of Camber Outdoors, the Camber Outdoors team, the current Camber Outdoors board of directors and more than 7,500 members and partners to usher in a refreshed era of advancing inclusion, equity and access across workplaces in the active-outdoor industries.

During Outdoor Retailer, Camber Outdoors will engage outdoor enthusiasts from all backgrounds in activations, including: storytelling at the newly launched ‘Camber StoryBus’, a Corporate Inclusion Keynote, and an Inclusive Practices Panel. Camber will also be convening and raising voices from across the active-outdoor industry, to discuss the most effective pathways -- from grassroots to grasstops -- towards: 1) accelerating inclusive workplaces; 2) advancing diverse and dynamic narratives; and 3) aligning across interests to create meaningful impact.
