Gross, a CX champ and Air Force veteran, brings cycling passion and experience to LEM’s growing team.

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (May 8, 2019) – LEM Helmets, manufacturer of safe, stylish and performance-driven cycling helmets for road, mountain, commute and kids, welcomes Cyclocross Champion Rebecca Gross  to its growing ambassador team of talented and passionate cyclists.

“Beyond her talent on two wheels, Rebecca is an amazing, dynamic individual who’s infectious love of the sport and inviting personality make her a true champion – from coaching to racing. We’re stoked to have her as part of the family, and look forward to building success together into the future,” said Keith Cozzens, Global Brand Marketing Director at LEM.

Since 2012, Gross has been making headlines in the cycling world when she became the first American Cyclocross World Champion after winning the USA Cyclocross Masters in Louisville, KY. Two years later, in 2014, she won the Cyclocross Masters National Championships in Boulder, Colo.

Based in Golden, Colo., Gross trains and competes year-round for cycling events across the globe. Having competed in nearly 30 events so far this year, Gross is one of the most prominent women in today’s cyclocross and competitive mountain bike circuits. With upcoming cyclocross events in Mesa Verde and Grand Junction, Colo., spectators can watch her compete wearing LEM’s popular Volata or Flow helmets. When not racing, Gross is engaged with cycling communities around the country teaching and coaching women and juniors of all ability levels.

“Working with smaller, personable companies that produce high-quality products is really exciting to me,” said Gross. “I love joining a team that’s dedicated to making gear that works and looks great, and appreciates feedback from the athletes using their products. LEM is one of those companies and I’m excited to be part of something special and an ambassador of the brand.”

Gross joins ultra-endurance and adventure cyclist Jay Petervary and current national MTB marathon champ Amy Beisel on LEM’s team.

LEM’s flagship family of products includes seven distinct helmets and 50 colorways in the road, mountain bike, commuter, and kids categories. The brand will soon introduce new, highly-featured road and mountain bike helmets which will compliment its existing collection and further illustrate LEM’s strong product design and development capabilities.

“Bicycles have been an integral part of my life since college. I spent eight years in the Air Force after receiving my degree, and once I left the military community it was important for me to find another family that shared common values and was as inclusive,” said Gross. “Cycling and racing has been that for me and while I’m no longer on tap to travel to foreign countries for a job, I still can do so to race my bike – I enjoy the sense of purpose it brings me.”
