MSR launches ParadigmTM bindings on Explore Series snowshoes for fall 2024

New bindings offer efficient, comfortable, and durable performance paired with an easy-to-use design and repairability.

Seattle, Wash. (February 20, 2024) - Today, Mountain Safety Research (MSR) announces the launch of new ParadigmTM bindings on their Explore Series snowshoes, as well as new colorways, available Fall of 2024. The Explore Series snowshoes are designed for intermediate to advanced-level snowshoers exploring intermediate to technical, variable terrain, in addition to beginner snowshoers who want to invest in shoes that they can grow into over time.

MSR’s Explore snowshoes are designed for hiking on and off trails while providing comfort and ease of use on extended trips. Three adjustment points and toe stop make getting a perfect, custom fit simple, even with gloves on. The stretch mesh and two front buckles provide a secure grip on steeper slopes and while side-hilling.

The stretch mesh is a similar mesh security system as found on MSR’s Ascent Series snowshoes with Paragon bindings, which were introduced in the Fall of 2019, as well as MSR’s Trail Series snowshoes with Paraglide bindings, introduced Fall of 2022. As with all of MSR’s products, these are built in the USA and in Ireland at Cascade Designs’ Reno, Nev. and Cork, Ireland factories with high-quality, performance, durable materials to enhance user confidence.

Below is the breakdown of each of these eleven snowshoe models and their product specifications. All of the below capacities can be increased with the purchase of Tails, a unique-to-MSR feature that adds 6 inches for increased floatation.
