In an era of social distancing, which for many of us is a concept in which we’ve recently received a crash course, it’s all the more important to stay united. It is our collective responsibility to stay home and practice social distancing - and the goal of getting through a pandemic is what unites us. Here at Verde, we’ve launched a social media campaign this week to promote the importance of social distancing and staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this campaign is to come together as a force to do the right thing and stay home - despite our love and passion for travel, adventure, the outdoors and in-person experiences.
We understand that this passion has not disappeared and that it is hard to follow the rules that go against many of the things we love to do. However, we want to encourage everyone to come together and do what we can to ensure that in the near future, we all have the opportunity to once again play outside, travel and enjoy the outdoors. There will come a time when we will all be able to do that again - but now is the time to act and flatten the curve - by practicing social distancing and staying home. Now is the time to make sure we have a future to build together.
We challenge ourselves, you and your audience to post a photo of yourself with a sign stating your reason for staying home on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn). We all have a unique reason for staying home, and we want to demonstrate solidarity during this difficult time that is keeping many of us apart from our loved ones and the things that we love to do. We invite you to join us in spreading the word by sharing your reason to stay home on social media and inviting others to do the same.
