AMGA guides and staff are the experts in the business of being a guide. The AMGA spent 30 years setting standards for American guiding, protecting the guiding environment, and organizing a powerful, unified community of climbers and skiers. The American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), an educational non-profit dedicated to supporting and furthering the profession of American mountain guiding, has named veteran guide and industry leader Angela Hawse as President of its Board of Directors. Hawse brings more than 35-years of guiding experience to the position, as well as her experience as a business owner (Chicks Climbing and Skiing), educator and leader.
