Spring 2021 New Product Showcase
Mojito Bio – The Mojito Bio is SCARPA’s first 100-percent biodegradable shoe, and one of the first fully biodegradable shoes in the outdoor category, earning a third-party certification as such from Intertrek. At the end of its life, 85 percent of this shoe will decompose after 450 days in a landfill. Bonus: It’s got all the classic mountain-inspired style of the regular Mojito. SCARPA spared no effort in sourcing all the right eco-friendly materials for this shoe.
The Mojito Bio is made with a sugarcane-based EVA midsole that provides cushioning and is 100% biodegradable, while the outside uses a biodegradable natural rubber.
Uppers are Bio Knit Fabric, a super breathable material made from bamboo-derived fibers.
Stretch lining and laces are also bamboo based. All other components have a vegetable base and construction uses water-based, non-polluting adhesives.
The packaging is also recycled, of course.
MSRP $179 USD
SCARPA Rapid – Perhaps the best all-around mountain shoe SCARPA has ever made, the Rapid lives at the junction of trail running and approach. This hybrid shoe is equally adept at ticking off trail miles, boulder hopping or scrambling moderate slabs. The all-synthetic upper is lightweight and highly breathable thanks to plenty of mesh, but reinforced in critical areas with welded PU to provide support and durability. SCARPA’s Sock-Fit LW construction snugly wraps the midfoot for a precise fit with reduced bulk. The dual-density EVA midsole delivers a ride more akin to a trail running shoe, but a TPU arch insert adds torsion control, and SCARPA’s Dynamic Protection System insert in the forefoot increases trail protection, propulsion and edging capability.
The EVA midsole features a 6 mm drop and softer EVA inserts in the heel and forefoot to increase shock absorption.
The Vibram® outsole features high-friction Megagrip rubber, an edging zone under the big toe for outstanding friction, and braking lugs in the rear.
The 297-gram Rapid is the perfect choice for moving fast over mixed mountain terrain, adept at handling all conditions from groomed single track to endless talus fields to slabby scrambles.
MSRP $149 USD
SCARPA Spin Infinity – Building on its award-winning Spin platform of running shoes, the Spin Infinity unveils the most cushioned trail-running shoe to date from SCARPA. New for Spring 2021, the Spin Infinity excels at long distances and ultra racing. It offers exceptional lateral stability thanks to SCARPA’s Foot Stabilizer Control (FSC) frame, a firmer layer of EVA that encircles the perimeter of the midsole and also spans the arch area, providing lightweight stability and torsion control. With a highly cushioned 26/22mm stack height, the dual-density EVA midsole features a lower density base that provides exceptional impact absorption.
This 4mm drop encourages an efficient stride, further enhancing the Spin Infinity’s long-distance capabilities.
A Vibram® Velox Cross sole uses Megagrip rubber and 4mm lugs to optimize traction and grip.
On the upper, a mesh and thermally welded PU upper with SCARPA’s Sock-Fit construction is light and breathable but still provides foot-wrapping support and a secure fit. This combination of upper and outsole package results in the perfect blend of weight savings, cushioning, support and traction – yielding a shoe that clocks in at a minimal 305 grams (men’s 42).
A more rounded toe box and a higher-volume fit provides comfort for longer mileage and works for a variety of foot shapes.

New SCARPA F1 LT offers serious downhill chops in a ski boot under 1000 grams
F1 LT – At 990 grams and 100 flex, the F1 LT is a ski-touring boot that punches above its weight in power and skiability. Optimized for ambitious traverses, technical ski-mountaineering descents, or long days maximizing powder laps, the F1 LT combines ultralight features of the Alien ski-mountaineering race boots with a more versatile, backcountry-oriented design. It is SCARPA’s lightest weight alpine-touring boot. Power in such a lightweight package comes from both innovative materials and thoughtful design. The boot is built with Carbon Grilamid LFT, a Grilamid material infused with long carbon fibers which improves power and stiffness while retaining the progressive flex desired for the descent. A new upper cuff uses SCARPA’s 3D Lambda Torsion Frame, a design that employs a reinforced I-beam construction with raised ribs of Carbon Grilamid LFT to create lateral stability and downhill performance without having to add thickness and weight to the entire cuff. The Gaiter Shell construction system uses a new floating Boa closure on the lower boot with an integrated gaiter, providing a custom fit with no pressure points. A fast-buckle upper closure on the cuff pairs with a power strap. Together, these systems ensure quick transition times and improved skiability as well as comfort. Other details include a friction-free ski/walk mechanism with 72 degrees range of motion, three forward lean positions, a removable, customizable boot board, a 100 mm forefoot, an Intuition liner with anti-abrasion treatment around the toe box, and integrated Recco reflectors. Price: $799 USD
New SCARPA Fall 2020 trail, mountain footwear showcases trends with light, nimble, versatile designs
SCARPA Rush Mid GTX – The SCARPA Rush Mid GTX is a do-it-all trail shoe that combines an innovative trail-running inspired design with all the support and protection of a light, waterproof hiker. Thoughtful and intuitive features set this boot apart in the emerging field of quiver-of-one hiking boots. One prominent new technology is called the SCARPA Interactive Kinetic System, a sole design that simultaneously increases traction and allows for more shock absorption on the trail. The IKS sole features five concave impact zones that compress and absorb energy as they touch down on the ground, allowing secondary lugs to then come in contact with the trail, further increasing traction. An all-synthetic upper with welded PU overlays for support helps the Rush Mid GTX stay extremely light and nimble, while an auto-fit collar and 3D-molded padding provides lightweight, dynamic ankle support. Price: $179 USD
SCARPA adds to climbing line with new models in Fall 20 for both ends of the performance spectrum
SCARPA Drago LV – Created for ticking steep, technical boulders and difficult overhanging routes, the Drago LV pairs minimalist upper construction with power, support, and maximum sensitivity on the rock. A lower-volume version of the legendary Drago, the Drago LV offers a lower volume fit option for climbers wanting to access the features that have made the Drago the premier shoe used by athletes at the World Cup Bouldering level. The entire front of the Drago is wrapped in high-friction rubber, which provides a glove-like fit in an aggressively downturned and highly asymmetric design. The Drago is extremely precise in shallow pockets and on rounded edges, as well as for technical hooking. Power in such a minimal shoe comes from SCARPA’s patent-pending Power Connection Band, which pulls tension from the rear of the shoe to provide support in the toe area. The Drago LV also utilizes SCARPA’s new Pressure Absorbing Fit (PAF) heel, a design that reduces pressure on the heel without sacrificing any performance. This sophisticated construction creates a soft, form-fitting heel pocket that, when paired with reduced volume in key areas, creates an improved fit for climbers with low volume feet. The Drago LV continues to represent the pinnacle of climbing-shoe construction: specialized, meticulously hand-crafted, and refined to perform at the highest level on cutting-edge boulder problems and steep sport routes. Price: $189 USD

New SCARPA Veloce introduces entirely new concept in climbing shoes adapted for gym use, newer climbers - click here to read the full press release
Veloce –The first rock shoe of its kind on the market, the Veloce offers soft, form-fitting comfort in a more aggressive, downturned design that has higher precision. It was built with a variety of different climbers in mind – beginners at the climbing gym who don’t want to settle for beginner shoe, intermediates who are looking for higher performance paired with comfort and durability, and more advanced climbers who need a training shoe for extended periods of time. The Veloce progresses the concept SCARPA pioneered with super-soft climbing shoes – high-performing shoes that, by virtue of their soft-yet-supportive design, also happen to be exceptionally comfortable. Despite the Veloce’s super-soft and comfortable feel, it offers a serious performance uptick thanks to a narrower, downturned form-fitting design, a strategically placed Flexan midsole in the front of the shoe, a tensioned rubber randing system for power and support, and new SCARPA S-72 rubber, which is a very soft, sticky rubber that is also durable. A microfiber upper offers stretch without stretching out. Comfort is further bolstered with details like a seamless toe panel and SCARPA’s Pressure Absorbing Fit (PAF) heel, a design that reduces pressure on the heel without reducing performance, thanks to sophisticated construction that creates a soft, form-fitting heel pocket. The Veloce is the only shoe in its class to offer a design that moves seams away from areas where pressure points are common on the toes, along with offering a toe box design that retains downturned performance while allowing more room for the toes – crucial in increasing comfort. The Wave closure system offers the convenience of a strap closure with more effective volume control. 7.4 ounces. Price: $139 USD
