2022 Product Launches
What’s New?
If you keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of weeks, you’ll notice Princeton Tec taking on a bit of a new look. A new logo. A new website. An update and recommitment to company values to help endear a new generation to the nearly half-century-old, American manufactured lighting company. Ahead of exciting new products debuting in ‘23, Princeton Tec has placed a focus this year on under-the-hood upgrades to their already user-friendly line of headlamps, handhelds and lanterns. You’ll see the fan-favorite Vizz in an array of new colors and pumping out 550 lumens; the insanely versatile Helix and Helix Rechargeable lantern doubling it’s lumens to 300, with a few tweaks to the already intuitive swipe pad to make it more user-friendly; and other, smaller tweaks to existing products - without an increase to MSRP - to make it easier than ever to light up the night, no matter the adventure.
Vizz
Waterproof, durable, bright and versatile: the Vizz headlamp makes a great partner in any situation, and has been updated for 2022 to feature 550 lumens in the same footprint and weight. The Vizz’s combination of durability and power make it an ideal choice for any demanding environment. The Vizz includes a Maxbright LED that creates a powerful spot beam for longthrow illumination, a pair of white Ultrabright LEDs to deliver a flood beam, and two red Ultrabright LEDs handle close-range lighting while preserving night adjusted vision. Regulated circuitry delivers consistent light output over an extended period of time, with a 90-hour run-time on low and over 4 hours on full floodlight. When not in use the Vizz can be locked to prevent accidental turn on, and the translucent switch acts as a low battery indicator.
Helix
Whether the evening brings you to the backyard or the backcountry, the Helix (and Helix Rechargeable) packs the goods. A micro-USB port powers up the rechargeable battery that allows this lightweight lantern to put out a bright beam that’s perfect for around camp or in your tent, and now at 300 lumens, plenty bright for any occasion. The Helix has has a unique control surface that is free of buttons, yet gives access to a dimmable white mode as well as a dimmable red mode for low-profile use. The Glow-in-the-dark collapsible globe and folding legs help the Helix shine over a wide area and pack down to fit easily in hand. The Helix lantern design also incorporates several hanging and spotlight options. The globe can be removed to swap the diffused glow to a direct spot light.
Remix
The Remix is your go-to when runtime is crucial. The Remix features an astounding 43h runtime on High, by far the best in its class, and is now 50% brighter. For preserving night vision it also features a cluster of red LEDs for close at hand tasks. Equipped with an asymmetrical single arm bracket, easily accessible battery door enclosure, and large push button switch. The end result; true versatility in a compact, water-resistant, and self-contained package.
